I built a business around AI, and I still get overwhelmed by it. Every day brings a new model, a new feature, a new headline insisting everything has changed again. I work in this space daily, and I cannot keep up with all of it. Here's what I've realized: I don't need to.
I don't need to test every tool. I don't need to understand every update. That would be impossible for anyone, not just me. What I need is much simpler: to know what problem I'm trying to solve, and whether AI can help me solve it better.
That's the permission I want more leaders to give themselves. You do not need to become an AI expert. You need to become confident enough to take the next useful step, and patient enough to adapt as things change.
When I posted that idea, it reached more than 3,600 people. I think I know why. People aren't looking for AI to replace what they do. They want it to help them do things they never thought they could do.
But getting there takes more than access to ChatGPT. It takes a real problem, a willingness to experiment, and support when you get stuck.
